Essay 2-02b: Mickey Mouse

I love Disney characters very much. I especially like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. I also like to go to Disneyland. I have been there twice. However I didn’t know about Mickey Mouse and Disneyland. So I looked three web sites in this time. One web site written about Mickey Mouse. This web site is easy for me to understand, so I chose this. The second web site written about Disneyland’s history. It is reason why that this web site’s article of Disney land history is detailed. Another web site, we can play Mickey Mouse games. The games are very fun. Now, I’m going to write about Mickey Mouse, history of Disneyland and the Mickey Mouse games on the third web site.

First, I’m going to write about Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse is the most famous of the Disney characters. He appeared in "Steamboat Willie" at the Colony Theatre in New York City for the first time. The day is November 18, 1928. Mickey went on to star in over 120 different cartoons since the day. Walt Disney voiced Mickey’s voice himself at first. Later, Mickey was voiced by Jim Macdonald and today Wayne Allwine provides Mickey's distinctive voice. In this way, we can know about history of Mickey Mouse in this web site.

Second, I’m going to write about Disneyland’s history. Walt Disney had a vision. It was a vision of a place where children and parents could have fun together. Although, World War put those plans on hold. He wants to build rivers, waterfalls, mountains and so on. So he need wide place. He called the Magic Kingdom "Disneyland". Construction for Disneyland began on July 21, 1954, a meager 12 months before the park was scheduled to open. Opening day was become an impressive day. By mid-afternoon over 28,000 ticket holders were storming the Magic Kingdom. Most of the tickets were counterfeit. Walt Disney was 53 when he dedicated Disneyland Park. I did not know these histories. And I was surprised that Walt Disney could not find the place that suit for Disneyland easily. Also, I think wonderful that Disneyland is still in growing up to famous amusement parks all over the world. Maybe, Walt Disney’s vision of a place where children and parents could have fun together still lives in Disneyland.

Finally, I’m going to write the Mickey Mouse games on this web site. At the game, we can enjoy to dress up Mickey Mouse, coloring and so on. So I think that some little children enjoy those games. Not only children but also everyone who like Mickey Mouse can enjoy the games.

In those web sites, I can enjoy free time. In addition, I can know a lot of things about Mickey Mouse and Disneyland. I think that Mickey mouse and Disney land have a lot of characteristic and history. Then, these websites are easy to understand for me.
